Last post on Substack
Moving my content to a site I know I can ensure there are no Nazis... my own.
This is my last post on Substack. I have cancelled my paid subscriptions on this platform, and moved some of my content from here to my main website (phillip.blancher.ca).
I posted this in my final 2023 post:
I love using the Substack platform. I can see more who reads my work, possibly monetize it at some point, and it’s super easy to use. But (There’s always one) Substack has a Nazi Problem.

Substack co-founder Hamish McKenzie has said the platform will not censor or deplatform Nazis – https://www.theverge.com/2023/12/21/24011232/substack-nazi-moderation-demonetization-hamish-mckenzie
Nazis are bad. It is hate speech. I don’t condone it. So I am seeking another platform that is like Substack, but doesn’t allow Nazis to blatantly monetize their vile hate speech.
After kicking the tires, I recommitted to my initial website. I mean, why pay for something when I already pay for something?
For subscribers to my Substack, I have already exported you and moved you to my website. You should receive updates when I post. There should also be on my website the ability to subscribe if you wish. And if you wish to unsubscribe, I understand.
Once I finish migrating a year-plus worth of content over between the sites, I will delete Substack altogether.
Meanwhile, another Wanderings column is scheduled to drop on my new/old website (https://phillip.blancher.ca) on January 3, 2024.
Thank you everyone for reading and following along.
