Eastern Ontario doesn't matter...

Columnist and writer Brigitte Pellerin wrote this piece about the ice storm that hit our region a few weeks ago. I listened to CBC Radio’s World at 6 as they reported of widespread power outages in Quebec, yet no mention of Ottawa or Eastern Ontario. Living in Eastern Ontario for most of my childhood and adult life, I can attest that provincial and federal governments do not know we exist. Even our MPs and MPPs work for other ridings and pay only lip service to our area when they want our vote.
